Quality Africa has conducted several feasibility studies throughout Africa. The following contracts are examples of feasibility studies conducted for our clients:

2017

Quality Africa conducted a study, for the African Export and Import Bank (Afreximbank), on the feasibility of establishing testing laboratories in Ogun State in Nigeria for promotion of trade.

The focus was on testing agricultural and food products. This resulted in the first African Quality Assurance Centre (AQAC) being built and operated by an international conformity assessment body. The AQAC was built in Shagamu, Ogun State and opened in 2022.

2018

Quality Africa completed a feasibility study for OCAGlobal Group. The study determined the viability of setting up a high-throughput testing laboratory for export of food to Europe with emphasis on high-technology testing of 750 pesticide residues and mycotoxins by LC-MS/MS and other state-of-the-art chemistry techniques.

2021

Quality Africa conducted a study for the African Export and Import Bank (Afreximbank) to assess the market capacity to absorb more AQAC projects in various sectors in Nigeria, such as food and agri, textile, oil and gas, petrochemicals and to assess the need for the establishment of new AQACs in Anambra, Imo, Kaduna, Kwara, Abia, and Delta States.

2021

Quality Africa conducted a study for the African Export and Import Bank (Afreximbank) to determine the feasibility of establishing testing laboratories in Tanzania. The studies covered the feasibility of setting up labs in the food, water, beverages, and agricultural sectors.

2023

Quality Africa conducted a study for the African Export and Import Bank (Afreximbank) to determine the feasibility of establishing testing laboratories in Egypt for promotion of trade. The studies covered pesticide residue testing in food & agricultural products

2023

Quality Africa conducted a study for the Malawi Ministry of Trade & Public Works for conducting a study on the feasibility of establishing testing laboratories in Malawi for promotion of trade. The studies covered testing of food & agricultural products at border posts.

2024

Quality Africa conducted a study the African Export and Import Bank (Afreximbank) to determine the feasibility of establishing testing laboratories in Kaduna and Imo States, in Nigeria. The studies covered the feasibility of setting up labs in the foodstuffs, petroleum, oil, gas, textile, leather, and packaging sectors. Construction started on the Kaduna State AQAC in Dec 2024.
